Totus Tuus - To Jesus through Mary.

To impel the beauty of the new evangelization – this is the charism of the Heralds of the Gospel; Its founder, Monsignor João Dias explains."The Heralds of the Gospel is a private association of faithful with a very special charism based essentially on three points: the Eucharist, Mary and the Pope."

The Heralds of the Gospel are an International Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right, the first to be established by the Holy See in the third millennium, during a ceremony which occurred during the feast of the Chair of St. Peter (February 22) in 2001.

The Heralds of the Gospel strive to be instruments of holiness in the Church by encouraging close unity between faith and life, and working to evangelize particularly through art and culture. Their apostolate, which differs depending upon the environments in which they work, gives pride of place to parish animation, evangelizing families, providing catechetical and cultural formation to young people, and disseminating religious Iiterature.

A Place of Pilgrimage
Lough Derg, the sacred Sanctuary of St Patrick, is very much a living part of Irish Christian Heritage.
A unique island, rich in prayer and faith, an island which has been calling pilgrims for over a thousand years, an island which St Patrick himself was called to.
For many people Lough Derg provides an opportunity to step back from their lives, to take stock and examine the direction which their lives are taking. For many others it is a time to come closer to God through prayer and reflection.
Lough Derg is an island of pilgrimage set in calm lake waters, offers no distraction, no artificialities or interruptions. Instead you are warmly welcomed and cared for: there are no strangers here. The island, made holy by the prayers of millions of pilgrims over the centuries, continues to provide a safe haven for rest, reflection and renewal to all who wish to ‘Come away to a quiet place and rest a while’, Mark 6:31
The Island is now open for the 2015 Summer Pilgrimage Season.
One Day Retreats are offered on specific dates in May; 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24 & 25. After the Three Day Pilgrmage season One Day Retreats recommence in late August and continue into September.
The Three Day Pilgrimage Season begins on Friday 29th May 2015.
Please contact us directly if you wish to find out about the 2015 season or if you wish to organise a group to come to the island for a One Day Retreat or a Group Tour we will be delighted to help you.
