Totus Tuus - To Jesus through Mary.

To impel the beauty of the new evangelization – this is the charism of the Heralds of the Gospel; Its founder, Monsignor João Dias explains."The Heralds of the Gospel is a private association of faithful with a very special charism based essentially on three points: the Eucharist, Mary and the Pope."

The Heralds of the Gospel are an International Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right, the first to be established by the Holy See in the third millennium, during a ceremony which occurred during the feast of the Chair of St. Peter (February 22) in 2001.

The Heralds of the Gospel strive to be instruments of holiness in the Church by encouraging close unity between faith and life, and working to evangelize particularly through art and culture. Their apostolate, which differs depending upon the environments in which they work, gives pride of place to parish animation, evangelizing families, providing catechetical and cultural formation to young people, and disseminating religious Iiterature.

Dear Friends from Ireland

Dear Friends from Ireland

The wonderful days of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin are still fresh in our memories.
I think it was a great privilege to have been able to attend at least once in our lives such an extraordinary event. The memories of the Congress and of the people of Ireland are going to remain together always in my mind.
As promised when we met at the RDS, I am pleased to enclose some photos of our main seminary located next to the big city of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
This is where I studied and where our seminarians, from different parts of the world, do their formation first to become religious in the Heralds of the Gospel and then for the holy priesthood for those who take that path.
The style is inspired by the Sainte Chapelle of Paris and the atmosphere is lively and serene at the same time. This is most probably where my ordination will take place sometime in the near future. It would be very kind of you if you kept this intention in your prayers.
The Church is unique in its style in the country and Pope Benedict XVI has recently honoured this church by declaring it a minor Basilica of the Roman Catholic Church with all its duties and privileges.
I hope you like it.
If Bro. Michael and myself come back to Ireland we will let you know and pay you a quick visit if possible.
With my blessing in Jesus and Mary
