The Heralds of the Gospel are an International Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right, the first to be established by the Holy See in the third millennium, during a ceremony which occurred during the feast of the Chair of St. Peter (February 22) in 2001.

The Heralds of the Gospel strive to be instruments of holiness in the Church by encouraging close unity between faith and life, and working to evangelize particularly through art and culture. Their apostolate, which differs depending upon the environments in which they work, gives pride of place to parish animation, evangelizing families, providing catechetical and cultural formation to young people, and disseminating religious Iiterature.

Getting ready for Christmas Mass in the Vatican Basilica

Vatican City (Monday, 12/22/2014, Gaudium Press) The Vatican Basilica will welcome on Christmas eve the Child Jesus for the Christmas Mass presided by Pope Francis, to take place at the Basilica of St Peter at 9:.30 pm (local time).



During the solemn ceremony, among the songs will can find the "Et Incarnatus est", the Mass in C minor by Mozart, which refers to the Prologue of John's Gospel: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
The music will be performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the Austrian Maestro Manfred Honeck.
Composed by Mozart between 1781 and 1782, in Vienna, the Mass in C minor was done as a promise to cure the future wife of the musician, Constanza, who was ill at the time. (LMI)
